Terms of use

These Terms of use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of QueerWeGo at queerwego.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

QueerWeGo is a free, ad-free, community-run platform that helps LGBTQ+ people find queer-owned and queer-friendly businesses worldwide — on an interactive map, through search, and in an online directory. Listings are submitted and reviewed by the community.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

• Some features require an account: the map, online directory, favourites, and business submissions.
• Search and public pages are available without signing in.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• You may sign in with email and password or Google OAuth.

QueerWeGo is free and ad-free. We are not offering paid plans, memberships, or trials today, and we are not planning to add them anytime soon. Optional financial support via Buy Me a Coffee is separate from use of the Service and does not grant special product privileges.

• Listings reflect community submissions and moderation. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that every place is currently open, safe, or suitable for every visitor.
• Always use your own judgment, especially when travelling or visiting unfamiliar locations.
• Do not scrape, bulk-download, or reverse-engineer the Service without our written permission.
• Do not interfere with the Service’s security, availability, or other users’ experience.

• You may suggest businesses for admin review. Provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge.
• Do not submit false, misleading, or malicious listings.
• We may approve, reject, edit, or remove submissions at our discretion.
• Approved submissions may appear in the public directory.

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others.
• Post content that is unlawful, hateful, or infringes others’ rights.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Use the Service for spam, fraud, or unauthorised commercial solicitation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, admin tools, or systems.

“Community-verified” and similar labels reflect our moderation process, not a guarantee of safety or legal compliance in every jurisdiction. We may remove or update listings that violate these Terms or harm the community.

Bookmarks and submission data you provide remain associated with your account as described in our Privacy policy. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a licence to use, display, and moderate it in connection with the Service.

The QueerWeGo name, logo, design, and original site content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without permission except as allowed by law or these Terms.

Listings may link to external websites, Instagram profiles, Mapbox maps, Google sign-in, and Buy Me a Coffee. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and policies.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that listings are complete, current, or accurate.

QueerWeGo is an informational directory, not professional travel, legal, or safety advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, QueerWeGo and its operator shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or reliance on listings, third-party links, or the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free Service, is zero), except where liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or community. You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may update the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and applicable member-state law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide you with stronger rights, those laws apply.

Disputes should first be raised with us at the contact address below. If unresolved, you may pursue remedies available under applicable law, including through competent courts or alternative dispute resolution where available.
